2021 YEAR IN REVIEW

Happy New Year, friends!

We have made it through another year & I can hardly believe that it is 2022. My kiddos are back to school today & if you follow along with me over on INSTAGRAM then you know that my little family spent half of our Christmas break in quarantine. Sigh. Dan & Ellie Joy tested positive (she also had croup), & then Coop, Millie Jo, & I all ended up sick. Definitely a domino effect kinda thing over here. We are so thankful that our symptoms were mild & praying that all this sickness is over. What a doozy the past three months have been with health.

After the beginning of each new year, I love to look back on the previous year & find the joy!

Here is a recap of our 2021 ...

JANUARY

Millie Jo TURNED EIGHT!

And we celebrated with A SURPRISE OVER NIGHT TRIP & it was the cutest thing!

FEBRUARY

Dan & I spent the weekend together IN SAVANNAH!

Ellie Joy TURNED THREE!

And we celebrated her dinosaur loving self with a DINOASAUR PARTY!

MARCH

Cooper TURNED 11!

We celebrated him with A FAMILY PARTY & DINNER at his favorite place!

The weekend after Coop's birthday, we headed to Kentucky to see THE ARK ENCOUNTER with my parents! It was just as amazing as you think it would be.

APRIL

We celebrated EASTER with family.

We took a trip just the five of to MIRAMAR BEACH, FLORIDA & we still talk about that vacation! SO SO good!

And while we were in Florida, Dan & I celebrated 12 years of marriage!

MAY

I shared a little bit of my heart on OUR MISCARRIAGE.

We moved into our NEW RENTAL HOME!

And we spent Memorial Day weekend IN PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE with family!

JUNE

Grammy had her first GRAMMY CAMP for the grandbabies!

We spent all summer at THE POOL!

JULY

We spent the 4TH OF JULY with family watching fireworks.

And I threw my kiddos a fun little PARTY to celebrate America!

And I shared A LETTER to these two future husbands!

AUGUST

My parents RENEWED THEIR VOWS!

Cooper started MIDDLE SCHOOL & Millie Jo started THIRD GRADE!

SEPTEMBER

We went to THE WALK FOR LIFE!

Spent the day AT THE ZOO with cousins!

And I shared my FALL HOME TOUR with you!

OCTOBER

Dan & I got to watch my best friend from high school GET MARRIED!

The kids & I HEADED TO ATLANTA with my in-loves to watch the Braves play in a playoff game.

Dan & I took ANOTHER WEEKEND GETAWAY that didn't turn out the way we planned but couldn't have been sweeter!

We celebrated RUTHIE BELLE DAY & it is always such a sweet day!

And we had a very fun HALLOWEEN!

NOVEMBER

Thanksgiving break we HEADED TO THE BEACH with my father-in-love!

And were back just in time to spend THANKSGIVING WITH FAMILY!

DECEMBER

I shared my CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR!

We had so much fun at our NORTHPOLE BREAKFAST!

And we ended our year celebrating the birth of our Lord & Savior!

What a sweet year it was!

That's a little look into our 2021.

We are so thankful for this little community & can't to see all of God's goodness in 2022!

2020 YEAR IN REVIEW

Happy Monday!

My kiddos were back in school today after a "snow" day on Friday. Even little snow flurries are a big deal around here, y'all! While the snow only lasted a few hours, it was beautiful falling.

Today, I have our 2020 year in review post!

In January, MILLIE JO TURNED SEVEN and we celebrated with the cutest spa party! If you're wanting to have a slumber party without the slumber, this party was so much fun! And speaking of, it's my girl's birthday week!! I have such a fun surprise planned for her this weekend!

In February, this Itty Bitty girl TURNED 2! And we celebrated her with the sweetest MATILDA JANE THEMED PARTY.

In March, COOPER TURNED TEN! Yes, that's Christmas & then birthday .. birthday .. birthday! And Dan's is the week before Christmas! Unfortunately, we didn't get to do anything big for Coop's birthday due to covid, but we hope to make up for it this year!

In April, due to the pandemic, many churches around the US closed the doors to their church. The week before Easter, it was laid on Dan's heart for our family to go GATHER AROUND THE CROSSES in our church parking lot & pray for our country. What a sweet memory that I will always cherish.

In May, we took one of many day trips to THE MOUNTAINS! 2020 made us adventurers, that's for sure!

In June, we went CAMPING & had so much fun!

In July, we spent the weekend of the fourth AT THE BEACH with friends.

And another weekend consisted of yet another day trip TO THE MOUNTAINS!

The weekend before the kiddos went back to school in August, we took a trip to PIGEON FORGE, TN! A trip for the books!

The end of August, Cooper & Millie Jo STARTED AT A NEW SCHOOL. It has been such a blessing to our family!

In September, I shared my heart with y'all about BEING IN A SEASON OF WAITING. We still are, but know that God has BIG things in store of our family!

In October, we weren't able to go to the county fair like Dan & I have for the past 16 years, so we improvised. We hit up a food truck, grabbed a funnel cake, deep fried Oreos, & popcorn & then HEADED TO THE CHARLOTTE AIRPORT to watch airplanes land & take off!

Would you believe me if I told you that this post was the most viewed in 2020. HA! Y'all are definitely my kind of people!
