Our Weekend ..

Holy cow this was a much needed relaxing weekend!

We were all exhausted after getting into a routine of things with the first week of school.

I hope y'all enjoyed your weekend :)

Friday after we took Cooper to school we headed to the outlets with my mom for a little shopping.

Friday night we headed out to Friday Night Football. My kiddos loved it!

Saturday night my parents kept the kids while Dan & I went to dinner. Afterwards we decided to go play ~~a very competitive game of~~ putt-putt ...he won...by a lot! :)

Ready to go to Grammy & Pop's house! Yes, Cooper is wearing suspenders that he found when we were cleaning out our garage! HA!

Sunday morning ain't easy ... but it sure is sweet with these 2!

I love them so stinkin' much!

That was our weekend!

It was so nice to not have plans & just go with the flow :)

Life Lately.

Guess what?!?!? ...

It's Friday! It's Friday! It's Friday! :)

Getting into a routine of things since school started this week has been tough. We are exhausted & definitely ready for the weekend!

Here's what we have been up to lately ...

Anytime I'm in the kitchen cooking you can find these 2 right there with me wanting to help.

We went to visit my cousin Jill last week & her beautiful Pilates studio .. of course we had to walk around downtown while we were there. Such a cute little town.

They love visiting their daddy at work!

Love our evening walks :)

He may be a kindergartener now but he still loves cuddling with his mama .. & I love it too!

We had a crazy storm last week & when I walked out on our front porch I saw this rainbow. I love God's promises!

This prissy little thing started dance this week & she LOVES it!

Look who survived the first few days of school! :)

First Day of Kindergarten

Well, we made it through the first day of school & Cooper LOVED it! He has talked about it all afternoon & he can't wait to go back tomorrow. It's safe to say that I was the only one who cried .. I just miss him like crazy when he's not at home :)

Y'all, I feel like I just took this picture of my sweet little 2 year old!!

And now he is so big!

I'm not sure who gave him permission to grow up but he is & fast!

Tuesday night at dinner I asked Cooper some fun little questions & thought I would share his answers with you ..

1. What are you most excited about this year in kindergarten? That I get to learn

2. How old are you? 5

3. What is your favorite thing to wear? A t-shirt, shorts, a hat & tennis shoes

4. What is your favorite color? Red

5. What is your favorite TV show? Paw Patrol

6. What color are your eyes? Blue

7. Who is your favorite football team? The Redskins

8. What is your favorite food? Turkey sandwiches

9. What is your favorite song? Baby You're a Song (Cruise - Florida Georgia Line)

10. What are you most nervous about this year in kindergarten? Going to the lunchroom ..I don't know where I can sit.

11. What is your favorite movie? Monsters Inc

12. What is your favorite toy? My truck & trailer

13. What do you want to be when you grow up? The coach for the Washington Redskins

14. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas

15. What is your favorite thing to do with Mom? Help her clean the kitchen

16. What is your favorite thing to do with Dad? Cut the grass

17. What is your favorite thing to do with Millie Jo? Play games

18. What is your favorite sport? Football

He was so excited this morning .. & of course Sis-Sis had to get in on a picture :)

I had to beg him to hold my hand .. after the picture was over he let it go & I could've cried right then & there but I didn't. I actually didn't cry until I walked out of the school.

Oh my heart! I was fighting back the tears when Millie Jo hugged him & told him she loved him. She missed him so much today ... so much that she asked me every 20 minutes when he was coming home. I love these 2 so much!!

.. & just like that my little 7lb 6oz baby is a 5 year old little boy in kindergarten.

Mama's of little ones, enjoy each and every day with your babies because time sure does fly by! I'm looking forward to spending one-on-one time with Millie Jo during the week for the next couple of years because soon she will be going to school too!

What I've Been Wearing ..

Happy Wednesday!

Don't mind me .. I'm just over here ugly crying because today is Cooper's first day of Kindergarten. He's there as we speak & I'm positive he's having the best day. He was so excited & I can't wait to hear all about it :)

Millie Jo's Room

Today I'm showing you inside Millie Jo's room ..

Warning : It is very pink :)

We decided when we bought a new house that we would go ahead & put her in a full size bed .. perfect idea! She loves her big girl room :) My mom found her minky pillow cases & my mother-in-love monogrammed them.

Her vanity was my grandmother's (who Millie Jo is named after), my step dad painted it for us & it is quite possibly one of my most favorite pieces of furniture!

My mother-in-love made this quilt out of Millie Jo's onsies from her 1st year so I thought it would be super cute hanging on her wall :)

I found this cute little lamp at a consignment sale & it just so happen to be a "M".

That is my girl's very pink big girl room :)

Weekend Fun ..

Happy 'back-to-school' Monday y'all!

Lucky for us, Cooper's first day isn't until Wednesday so we have a couple more days of summer to enjoy!

We had a pretty relaxing weekend!

Friday we took Coop to get his hair cut & while waiting on him Miss Priss wanted her picture made in the chair!

After his hair cut we went to visit Daniel's grandpa .. We call him "Paw-Paw the Great".. he used to be a photographer so you'll always see him with a camera in hand :)

Saturday morning we took off to Home Depot so Dan could get a few things for a project he is working on. (I will post pictures when he gets finished with it because it is super cool)

Saturday night we had everyone over to our house for game night since it was Hunter's (my brother) birthday. Love my family oh so much!

It's such a big week for my sweet Coop .. not only does he go to kindergarten but he also moved up from the preschool department at church to the kid's department. I need time to slow down a little bit!

Sunday after church we had lunch at Dan's parents house & then our kiddos stayed the night with them. We were all smiles after that yummy meal we had just ate! :)

That was our weekend!
