Friday Favorites ::Our Fall Bucket List

Happy Happy Friday!

I don't know about y'all, but there is just something about Fridays & Fall that makes me so happy. Two of my favorite things for sure!

Today I'm linking up with Erika, Narci & Andrea for Friday Favorites.

Last Friday I shared with you my family's favorite Fall traditions & today I am sharing our 2016 Fall bucket list.

This week my kiddos & I sat down & wrote our Fall bucket list.

Millie Jo's mind couldn't quite get off of summer :). Her list consisted of going to the beach, going to Chuck E Cheese, going to the waterpark & going swimming. What can I say ... the girl loves summer time!

But here's what we came up with this year . . .

Then mama decided to get a little crazy & make one with pictures to hang on our refrigerator!

I think I've told you before, but I got this idea from Shay over at The Mix and Match Mama blog last year & I love it so much. SO much that we even made a Summer bucket list this year. I mean, we LOVE us a bucket list!

A Little Bit of This & That

Hey there, Thursday.

Here's a little bit of this & that for you today . . .

The weather in the evenings has been so nice so why not have dinner on the porch!?! :)

The other night while I was painting I look over & Coop had set his pirate ship up on the wood I'm using for a new project. I love his imagination & I'm sure I am going to miss all these little toys laying ~~all over~~ around my house one day!

On Monday I told you that we went & helped load a truck full of baby items to send to Louisiana. My kiddos are still talking about helping!

Yesterday I mentioned that my kiddos have been climbing this tree in our front yard.

It's been there long before we even lived here & they just discovered it this week. To be honest, I was shocked when I saw Cooper even up in it [even though it's not that high] because the child is terrified of heights but he did it & actually he was the first one who did it then taught Millie Jo how to get up there.

I won't lie. I did say to them "see what happens when you put your iPad down?!" Don't get me wrong, my two love playing outside but they also love being inside playing their iPads, too. It just amazes me how much the world has changed just since I was a little girl. Growing up I played outside with my cousin, brother & sister e v e r y day ... for hours!

Speaking of playing ...

Millie Jo's imagination is huge. I mean HUGE! I have never met a child with such a big imagination. She can play in her room or the playroom for hours on in & be perfectly fine. She's such a little mommy & she loves her babies. And John Cena ;).

One day this week I walked into the playroom & found her sitting at this table singing Happy Birthday [the puzzle was the cake] to John Cena. And girlfriend doesn't just sing it ... she belts it out for the world to hear. I probably hear Happy Birthday at least 17 times a day. I'm not even kidding ... ask anyone who knows her!

Fun little fact :: Her very first sentence was 'Happy Birthday to you' when she was a little over one!

When you have the best daddy ever.

He will do anything for his girl ... even if that means wearing a pink chef hat!

You mean not everyone wears their Cinderella ball gown & shoes to go pick up their big brother from school!?! :)

That's what life has looked like around here!

What's Up Wednesday

Here we go :).

1. What we're eating this week . . .

Stew beef Monday night, taco Tuesday last night & one night I will use the left over stew beef to make vegetable soup!

2. What I'm reminiscing about . . .

I can't believe my girl will be four soon! FOUR y'all!

3. What I'm loving . . .

Not super cool yet but I'm loving that the temps keep dropping!

4. What we've been up to . . .

Lots! School, dance, golf ...

Oh & climbing trees :).

5. What I'm dreading . . .

I'm not really dreading anything but I do think October will be a hard month seeing as it was Ruthie Belle's due date.

6. What I'm working on . . .

We have been painting our living room & foyer. I am LOVING this color so much!

I can't wait to share the rest with you!

I am currently working on going through all of my baby clothes ... finally. I'm talking like tubs & tubs of clothes.

The struggle is real over here!

7. What I'm excited about . . .

Planning Millie Jo's 4th birthday party! Think all things Snow White! I LOVE birthdays so I always start planning about 3 months in advance!

8. What I'm watching/reading . . .

I feel like every blogger who is linking up today will have this show on their blog post but oh my goodness! Give me all the tissues!

This is SO good!! And seeing the previews for next week, I think its only going to get better.

I know what I will be watching online starting tonight!

9. What I'm listening to . . .

I always have my iheartradio app playing!

10. What I'm wearing . . .

Well, lately I've been wearing paint covered yoga pants & t-shirt. I could have posted a picture of that but no one wants to see that hot mess :).

I have gotten SO many compliments on this dress that I wore last weekend & just wait until you see the back of it ...

Gorgeous, right!?!

Want to hear something funny? I found it on the girls rack at the last kids consignment sale I went to. HA! Girls size + only $5 ... I call that winning! I do know it came from Dillard's but is no longer available.

This dress came from Belk last year.

I love the orange for Fall & I wore my brown booties with it.

11. What I'm doing this weekend . . .

I'm hoping to have a date with my hubby Saturday night but other than that we have no plans! I think this is the first time in months!

12. What I'm looking forward to next month . .

Eek! If you saw my post on Friday then you know that we love the fair. We can't wait to go!

We also have a few more things next month that I'm looking forward to but I will save that for another time!

13. What else is new . . .

I think I've covered it all!

BONUS QUESTION ::

What is my favorite Fall recipe . . .

Vegetable soup is a must in our house during the Fall. It's super easy to make, too!

Vegetable soup ::

1lb hamburger meat

2 cans of diced tomatoes

2 cans of corn

2 cans of carrots ( I use carrots out of produce section)

1 can of peas

1 can of green beans

2 cans of potatos (I usually peel/cut my potatoes)

Pinch of salt & pepper

2-3 cups of elbow pasta (optional)

Brown hamburger meat/drain. Add all ingredients together. [I cook my noodles separate because they tend to soak up all the soup part of it.] Cook on high for about 30-35 minutes ... reduce heat to medium low for another 30 minutes.

Fill your bowl & then add some pasta ...

& enjoy!

It is amazing with cornbread, too!

[I usually use hamburger meat but if I cook beef stew, like this week, then I will use the leftovers from that as the meat.]

I also love baking Halloween cookies with my kiddos & decorating them! No special recipe for those though, just sugar or chocolate chip!

Walk for Life 2016

I told you a couple weeks ago that we went to the Walk for Life. Our community holds this event every year & my family & I love it so much. My mom actually coordinated it this year & it was amazing ... just like I knew it would be!

The Walk for Life event is through the Crisis Pregnancy Center. What's that you ask?! The Crisis pregnancy is a non-profit pro-life organization of Christians sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. They help women, men & families in crisis pregnancy situations. It really is such an amazing thing!

Every year they have bounce houses for the kiddos, snow cones, hot dogs, a rock climbing wall, face painting, a track lined with luminaries that you walk around ... hence the name Walk for Life :), & a local Christian radio station!

It is such an awesome thing to be a part of!

Every year there are thousands of babies aborted. Let's be a voice for the unheard, y'all!

Choose life.

Weekend Wrap Up

Oh hey there, Monday.

Last week was exhausting & our weekend was no different! But ... I did get my downstairs all painted & only have a few projects left to do before it's completed :).

Friday night my kiddos spent the night with Mimi & Paw-Paw so while Dan was working, I was painting away & getting my house cleaned up! The fact that on Saturday afternoon I was able to sit down on the couch in my clean living room with freshly painted walls was just amazing. HA!

My parents are going back to Honduras on a mission trip so Saturday morning we joined in on their yard sale to help raise money for it.

My in-loves brought my kiddos to us just in time for my sister to take them to a birthday party.

Coop was SO excited that Mimi & Paw-Paw bought him a Panther jersey.

And by the way ... when did he get so big!?!

Gosh, I love this boy!

Birthday party fun!!

While Cooper & Millie Jo were at the party, Dan & I headed home from the yard sale, grabbed pizza & took naps ... because why not!?!

Remember that clean living room I was just talking about??

This was 30 minutes after my kiddos got home Saturday afternoon :).

Saturday evening ~~Dan & I got beat at several board games by our kids~~ we played board games! ;)

On Sunday mornings I get up before everyone & get ready ... when I woke these two up I couldn't help but laugh! Their profiles look just alike!

When you just have to take a phone call walking into lunch.

As we were leaving the restaurant, Millie Jo insisted on cleaning our table. I mean, she made sure she wiped down the entire thing ... finally Dan said "ok, I'm going to go put Coop in the car." HA!!

I tried getting a picture with my man after lunch & had the cutest little photo bombers ever!

Something Dan & I have always taught our kiddos is to have a heart to serve, so on Sunday afternoon we went & helped pack up a truck full of baby items to send to a pregnancy center in Louisiana. They lost all of their stuff due to the flood.

They were such great helpers & never complained one single time.
