RUTHIE BELLE DAY 10-29-2020 - The Perfectly Imperfect Mama

RUTHIE BELLE DAY 10-29-2020

by - Thursday, November 05, 2020

Hey there!

Happy Thursday to y'all!

Today, I am here to share RUTHIE BELLE DAY with you.  If you have no idea what I am talking about, in 2016, I had a late miscarriage at 15 weeks pregnant.  We were expecting another baby girl & we named her Ruthie Belle.  Her due date was October 29, 2016 & every year since then, we have declared that Ruthie Belle Day.  We get balloons, a piece of cake, & go somewhere just the five of us to celebrate her.
And I mean to tell you that every single year, God paints the most beautiful sky for our girl.
You would have never guessed that this was the same exact day that we got so much bad weather from a hurricane, but by the evening, the sky looked like this.

I ask God every year on Ruthie Belle Day for Him to show her to me.  My heart, does He!

Itty Bitty was so sweet this year when we sat down to eat cake & she looked at me & said "Rufie Belle coming here, mom?"
No, she doesn't quite get it yet, but she does know who her sister is!
She hasn't stopped singing "Happy Birthday to "Rufie" Belle" yet.

I will forever be thankful to have this man by my side.

How can we smile after losing one of our children?

She's safe in the arms of Jesus.  She never knew any heartache.  She never knew any pain.  We rest in the peace of knowing that one day, we will get to look at her beautiful, perfect face.
October 29, 2020.
The year our girl would have turned 4 years old had God's plan been for her to be here on earth with us.
That was not His plan, yet, He is still good & continues to use her life for His glory.

My sweet Ruthie Belle, I'll hold you in my heart until I can hold you in Heaven.
