Friday Favorites :: 2016 In Review
Happy Friday y'all!
Oh my heart, 2016 was a tough one. I can assure you that I never thought it would have been like it was. It just goes to show that your life can change in a split second. But how sweet it is to know that nothing is a surprise to God.
This past year has taught me many things but the thing that stands out to me the most is seeing that God can use the most heartbreaking situations ... the most imperfect people ... for His glory.
Just the other day I had someone message me on Facebook thanking me for sharing my story of Ruthie Belle, that in this particular time in her life it is helping her so much. While reading her message I immediately felt her heartache & began to pray for her & also thanked God for using me. For using my sweet girl. I am praying her through this & I made sure she knew that.
I give God all the glory, honor & praise.
While 2016 had heartbreaking times, it also had some pretty amazing times too.

My sweet Millie Jo turned 3 years old!

And my little brother married the love of his life!

My life changed forever.
It was May 3rd when we heard the words we never, ever, ever wanted to hear during an ultrasound .. "I'm sorry, there is no heartbeat."
Just typing those words brings back every feeling I had that day.

On the 6th of June we found out that precious baby we lost was a tiny baby girl.

And Coop started the 1st grade!
He is still loving it! :)

What a full month of love, laughter & family December was.
I am so very thankful for each one of you who take the time to read my blog each & every day. I love letting you in on all of our crazy!
2016 is most definitely a year I will always remember. Whether I look back on it & smile or cry ... it will always be remembered.
I look forward to seeing what 2017 has in store for me & my family.

Oh man your heartache is mine too. We had a miscarriage and struggled to get pregnant for over a year following. Those moments were some of the hardest in my mothering journey. What a gift to use our heartache to bring encouragement to others. So glad to have found you and love following along your journey. Blessings to you and yours in the New Year!!!!
