CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE
Hey Hey!
Y'all, this time next week it will be Christmas Eve ... CHRISTMAS EVE!! Can you believe that!?!
In the spirit of Christmas & all those yummy desserts we will soon be eating, I wanted to share with y'all Dan's chocolate pecan [pronounced pe-CON where we are from in case you were wondering] pie that he makes every year. He just made one for THANKSGIVING a few weeks ago & it never disappoints!
So here it is ...
WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
● One pie crust
● 1 cup of light corn syrup
● 1/2 cup of sugar
● 1/4 cup butter, melted
● 1 tsp vanilla
● 3 eggs
● 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
● 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Need to make more than one?!? Just double up your ingredients!
WHAT TO DO :
Place pie crust onto a pie plate or baking pan
(If pie crust is frozen, allow to thaw)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla & eggs together. Mix well.
Add in the chocolate chips & pecans
Pour mixture into the pie crust
Bake for 55-65 minutes.
(The pie should be golden brown.)
Allow to cool & then serve.
I top mine with a spoonful of cool whip & it is amazing!
I mean!!
It's SO good, super easy & always a hit at all the Christmas parties!
