SIXTEEN YEARS!

Happy Monday, y'all!
We are back from the most magical place on earth & I have SO much to share with you!

But, today, I have another post planned because it is a very special day.  Don't worry, the Disney posts are coming!

On this day, sixteen ... yes, SIXTEEN ... years ago, this boy asked this girl to be his girlfriend.
Oh my heart.
BABIES!!
And a couple things ... those braces, that necklace, those eyebrows, those highlights & that mustache.

Over the past sixteen years, we have made some pretty incredible memories together.

We've had many highs ...

We got engaged.

Got married.

Bought a house or two.
We welcomed a baby boy into the world ...
And then a baby girl ...
We then announced baby number three.  Only to find out a few weeks later that HER HEART HAD STOPPED BEATING & we would never get to hold her here on earth.
And a year later, we found out we were expecting our rainbow baby.

With highs, there comes lows & boy have we had our fair share of those.
You would never be able to tell it from this picture, but I remember it so vividly.  It was the weekend after our marriage had literally crumbled to the ground at our feet.  We had went away just the two of us for some MUCH needed time to discuss where to go from there.  It was the weekend every thing was laid out on the table.  Would we fight for our marriage or walk away from it?

No, it wasn't the best weekend but I will forever be thankful for it.  It was the weekend that healing began.
Sixteen years have flown by.
That fourteen year old girl & sixteen year old boy have created a perfectly imperfect life together & I wouldn't change a thing!

I can't wait for the next sixty years, babe!
Thank you for choosing me over & over.
I love that I get to have you as my boyfriend forever!
Happy Dateiversary!
