Show & Tell Tuesday :: Prom Night - The Perfectly Imperfect Mama

Show & Tell Tuesday :: Prom Night

by - Tuesday, April 11, 2017

I am so exhausted just thinking about what I have to do today! Volunteer at a book fair, Coop has a hair cut then an eye Dr appointment, Millie jo has dance & after that we head straight to baseball practice.
I don't drink coffee ... but if I did, I would need about 18 cups today!

This.

But it is Tuesday & that means I am linking up with Andrea for this week's Show & Tell Tuesday!  Today we are talking all things prom.
Eeek!!
I was very fortunate to go to two proms & both with my hubby!!
#highschoolsweethearts
Your typical prom pose ;).

First up, Dan's senior prom.  We went just the two of us & met up with friends there.  My dress was long and light yellow ... my dad had just remarried & it's the dress I wore in his wedding. Ha!!
I don't have many pictures from this prom & it's because one or two things ... either pictures just weren't that important then OR it's because we had a flip phone & the camera stunk! Bahaha
Gosh we were babies!
This picture is and always has been one of my most favorite pictures of the two of us. Dan kept it in his room on his mirror until we got married & now it is framed & sits on my dresser :).
And look what I just realized he had wrote on the back.
#ahhhhh
And now, my senior prom ....
Gosh y'all, it was SO MUCH FUN! Seriously, it was a night I'll never forget. We actually went with a group of friends this time & it was the best! We all went out to dinner first & then headed to the prom.
After Dan's prom & wearing a long dress I decided for my prom I was going with a short one & LOVED it!  It was so different than your normal formal gown & I danced without thinking I was going to die from a heat stroke. Ha!

So much stuff happened that night.  One of our friends we were with got chased by a dog while walking out to our car & the dog literally bit his behind & ripped a hole in his tux ... hahah! And then on our way home from prom we were riding through a little town close by & saw small red lights laying in the middle of the road (keep in mind it's midnight). We had no clue what they were so we slowed down & when we got closer we realized it was a drunk man that had wrecked his moped. Dan & the friend who got chased by a dog, called the cops to let them know & then helped get him out of the middle of the road & over to the grass ... the next thing we know, this man takes off through the woods stumbling & leaves his moped laying there before the cops even arrive. We have no idea what happened to him but we still laugh about it to this day!
I have lots of pictures from my prom but I'm almost certain they were all taken with a camera & not a phone. Like I walked in there with a tiny camera in my hand and the strap around my wrist. Not even lying.

And there's a look into our prom nights!
A couple things I realized while looking through these pictures ...
1. I want to be as fat as I was when I thought I was fat.  Sigh.
2. Time flies and I remember these nights like they were yesterday.
3.  I can't even remember the last time I saw Dan's baby face.

I can't wait to see how your nights went!
And here's a look at the upcoming topics for Show & Tell Tuesday!

  3. I agree with the whole "fat" statement. I think your Senior Prom dress is very pretty. Wow, sounds like it was quite a night on your Senior prom!! I can see why it was one to remember. My oldest son will be attending his Senior prom this weekend.
