Eight Years . . .

Eight years ago today . . .

I've been thinking about what I wanted this specific post to say for a few weeks now. Would I make it out to look like we're this perfect couple? ... Negative, because we are far from it. Would I talk about our past?...Nope. Even though we both know that we are closer today than we ever have been because of it. Would I make it really romantic? I could, but I won't ;).

Instead, I want this post to be all about the celebration of mine and Dan's marriage ... as it should be :).

8 years married and almost 14 years together.

Eeeek!

We may argue, but we laugh more.

We may aggravate the snot out of each other sometimes but what married couple doesn't?!?

We may not agree on everything, but we do agree on the most important things such as to keep Jesus first, each other second and our children third.

Those who have met Dan, know that he's a true man of God. And those of you who haven't, take my word for it. He has a heart of gold. I'm not saying he's perfect, but he is perfect for me. God knew exactly what He was doing when He handpicked that man just for me.

It's so amazing to me that we've known each other since we were BABIES (14 and 16 years old) and yet we are still learning stuff about each other.

I love it.

When we got married on April 25, 2009 and we stood in front of our family and friends, I don't think neither one of us had a clue what our marriage had in store for us. And honestly, if we had known, we would've probably both took off running out of the church ;).

God's grace ... God's love ... it's enough.

Dan,

I love you more today than I ever have and I know that I will love you even more than that tomorrow. You're my rock, my soul mate and my best friend.

Today ... and everyday, I celebrate us! You and I both know better than anyone what a precious gift our marriage is.

Happy Anniversary, babe!

Yesterday, I mentioned that we celebrated our anniversary on Saturday night so I thought I would share those pictures.

Y'all, our dinner was incredible!!

I will tell you, both kiddos took our before dinner pictures ... and that may or may not be why 1) we aren't looking at the right camera [Coop had Dan's & Millie Jo had mine] and 2) why Dan's head is cut off in one picture :).
