Camping & Pumpkin Patchin' - The Perfectly Imperfect Mama

Camping & Pumpkin Patchin'

by - Thursday, November 17, 2016

Well, we had our first camping experience last month & we LOVED it!  My parents bought a new camper a couple months ago & we are obsessed.  Funny, right!?!  I never would have thought I would be the camping type but I loved being beside a creek & bonfire the whole time.

It started out just being my kiddos going with my parents.  They went up on a Thursday & then Dan & I drove up on Saturday to spend the day/night.  It just so happened to be our "dating" anniversary weekend so we took advantage of a couple days of alone time before we headed up.  More on that later though! :)
My kiddos had a blast & are still talking about it!
They helped cook dinner, played cornhole, football, ran around all day ...
 and played putt-putt.

Once Dan & I got there Saturday afternoon it was time for dinner.  We sat around the fire & then went to bed.
Cooper & Millie Jo thought it was so funny that we slept on the table bed.  I mean, it was actually pretty comfy!
The next morning we had breakfast & headed to the creek.

After messing around the campground a little bit we showered & packed up our stuff to head home.

But not without finding a pumpkin patch to go to first :) . . .
And it may have just been the cutest one ever!
We took a hayride ...
Picked pumpkins ...
Had ice cream ...
Played in corn ...
And rode a pig ... ?!?

Wait for it . . .
Hahaha!
This boy cracks me up!
These two!
We loved this little pumpkin patch so much and may just have to make a special trip every year from now on!

Next week I will wrap up our month of October!
Happy Thursday, y'all!

  1. Haha! Love the pig-riding picture :)
My husband has tried for years to convince me to go camping. I always tell him I'm game...as long as there is a camper. Looks like y'all had fun!
