Show & Tell Tuesday :: Advice I'd Give My High School Self

Hey, Hey!

Twice a month I link up with Andrea for Show & Tell Tuesday. We discuss different topics each time & this week we are sharing advice we would give to our high school selves.

Oh my heart.

So, SO much . . .

. . . and that's ok.

I'm a people pleaser & have always wanted everyone to like me ... even since I was a little girl. Truth be told though, there are going to be people in life that don't like you & never will. If people like you fine, if people don't like you, fine. Just be you!

. . . no need to go looking elsewhere.

Listen, I wasn't looking for my husband in high school... but goodness gracious, I found him. I must say, I do believe I got the greatest one ... I mean, he is one amazing man.

. . . because she is always right.

There really is nothing out in the world after midnight except trouble.

Why did I even want to stay out that late? Now I'm all like ... oh, it's 8:30pm?? Let me put my pjs on & call it a night.

. . . like it or not.

It feels so weird to say that it's been 11 years since I was 16 years old. I don't think any way like I did when I was a teenager ... heck, I don't think the same way I did in my early twenties.

I can remember saying to my parents things like, "let me make my own mistakes ... that's the only way I'll learn." What a dumb thing to say. HA! Being a mama now, I totally get it. Ok, mom? ... I get it!

. . . girls, you know what I'm talking about.

I was a size 2 all through high school & thought I was fat ... seriously, y'all!?!

. . . wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I loved high school but fast forward 10 years & I'm living the best days of my life right now. I love doing life with my hubby & sweet kiddos :).

There you have it.

Some advice I'd give my high school self!
