Today my sweet girl turns 3!!!

Here's a little background story about getting pregnant & my pregnancy with Millie Jo before I go crazy sharing pictures of my girl with you :).

We tried getting pregnant again right away after we had Cooper.  Dan & I always wanted to have our babies close together, well God had other plans.  Just so you know, God does things in His own time ... God is never late .. His timing is always, always, always perfect even though the waiting part for us is so hard.  I got pregnant with Cooper 2 months after Dan & I got married so I thought for sure I would get pregnant again right away.  Cooper was getting ready to turn two years old & we still weren't pregnant again so after lots of prayer we decided it was time for me to go to the doctor to see what was going on.  They started me on a medicine called Clomid in March 2012.  I got every side effect that medicine came with ... nausea, vomiting, dizziness.  I mean, I got it all so I thought for sure it had worked.  They had me come back in for blood work to see if it had worked ... I got a call a few days later & they said it had not.  Bummed, just bummed.  I was heartbroken.  I wasn't sure what was going on.  Were we only meant to have one baby!?   I will say though, we never got to the point of questioning God because we knew that He had blessed us so much already when He gave us a happy, healthy baby boy.  April came & went, then May came.  I can remember being at home & telling Dan that I just didn't feel right.  I hadn't had my cycle since March which wasn't unusual for me.  We were laying in bed & I told him I was just going to take a pregnancy test just to be sure ... it was POSITIVE!!! I took the other one in the pack just to make sure ... POSITIVE!  We were over the moon excited! That medicine might not have worked but our God sure did :).

We had everyone over to our house for Mother's Day & while everyone was talking I screamed out "I'm pregnant" ... I couldn't wait any longer!
I'm not sure how but Dan managed to capture my mom & his mom's face when I said it!
We still laugh about this picture!

My pregnancy was rough.  Goodness gracious, I threw up all day, every day until about 25 weeks.  Whoever came up with the name "morning sickness" must have never experienced it.

In August 2012 we found out that ...
It's a girl!!
38 1/2 weeks pregnant

Cooper came at 38 weeks so I thought this being my second baby she will come about that time too.  Nope.  40 weeks rolled around & she was still snug.  At my check up that week, my doctor scheduled for me to be induced on January 16th. Boo.  I didn't really want to have to be induced but it was time for us to meet that girl!  The night of January 14th, Cooper fell asleep in our bed & about midnight I got up to take him to his bed.  When I picked him up I felt something pull in my stomach & I knew right then that I was going to have her that day.  Sure enough, 2am I woke up with contractions & about 5am we headed to the hospital.

Labor was hard.  My epidural didn't take so from 6cm to the time she was born I was in a lot of pain, which was totally new to me because I literally felt nothing with Cooper.  All the pain was worth it though & on January 15, 2013 at 6:20pm I laid eyes on the most beautiful baby girl I had ever seen.

The sweet baby that we prayed so hard for was finally here!
She weighed 8lbs 11oz & was just perfect.
Cooper was just the sweetest.
He walked into my hospital room about an hour after she was born & said "Mommy, why did day take your bellwee off?" :)

I love these two BIG!
