Hey Hey Tuesday!
Today I am linking up with Andrea over at the Momfessionals blog for Show & Tell Tuesday. And today's topic is all about serving others.
I have to say, I just love this topic!
SERVING IN OUR HOME . . .
This is one of the most important ways I serve.
My prayer everyday is that I love & care for my husband & children as Jesus Christ has called me to. It is so important for my children to see Christ in me, for them to know that I am not perfect but try my very hardest to be the best mama for them. As a wife & mother it is my job to care for my husband & children. I want to teach my children all about Jesus & they need to see me living my life for Him daily. This is what God has called me to do. He wants my presence in my home.
SERVING IN OUR CHURCH . . .
Every year our family does the Operation Christmas Child boxes. I love watching my kiddos get so excited as they fill up boxes for children that may only get that one little box for Christmas.
I pray they always have a heart to serve!
Dan & I grew up in youth group together & would go on mission trips. I personally haven't been on one since high school but my hubby went to Honduras a couple years ago to serve & share Jesus. I hope to get there one day! The people are just incredible!
SERVING IN OUR COMMUNITY . . .
You may remember me talking about my family volunteering at our community's Walk for Life fundraiser that is held every year in our town. It's a pro-life event & my family just loves being a voice for the unborn! We always look forward to it.
And speaking of this organization, every month I, & my kiddos sometimes too, go volunteer at the center & fold the monthly newsletters & get them ready to be mailed out. I have been so blessed by this & have met some of the sweetest people! Remember the banquet I shared my testimony at in March? They're the ones that asked me to share it.
Another way I serve in our community is volunteering at Cooper's school. I haven't been able to yet this year because hello pregnancy but I did lots last year & loved it so much! I hope to get back up there soon.

I volunteered at our church's nursery for several years but with kids activities I was missing more Sundays than I was making and reluctantly had to resign.....I'll never forget the person in charge said "your family should always be your first ministry" and it was like a huge weight of guilt was lifted. It really is true we should serve at home first!
