Cooper's 6th Birthday - The Perfectly Imperfect Mama

Cooper's 6th Birthday

by - Wednesday, June 08, 2016

Today is Cooper's last day of Kindergarten {insert me ugly crying here}.  I mean, where did his 1st school year go!?!  His teachers were just simply amazing & we are both really going to miss them.

First grade, here he comes!

Ok, I'm going to wipe my tears away long enough to blog & tell you all about Cooper's 6th birthday ... I'm only three months behind sharing it.  All for good reasoning though ... my heart, it has been a rough few months but God is good & He continues to give us strength to get through it every day.

My sweet Coop turned 6 on March 24th.  Y'all, he's the sweetest thing.  I've mentioned before that he always thinks with his heart ... he still does.  And his love language is still quality time.  He's just so thoughtful & I love that about him.

We had his party on March 19th this year.  He wanted to do another football theme party but instead of just the Redskins he wanted to do something with the Panthers too.

We (and when I say we I mean Dan, my mom, my sister & mother-in-love) decorated our screened in porch.  The food & presents stayed up there & we let the kiddos play in the backyard all afternoon.
Hotdogs were served with all the fixings, we had nachos & cheese & Gatorade to drink.

It was a fun little party with our sweet family & friends.
I have to give it to Dan ... he knows that I LOVE throwing a party .. especially one of my kiddo's birthday parties & when I could barely function due to morning sickness, he stepped up & threw one heck of a party.

On his actual birthday some of our family went to his favorite place ... Buffalo Wild Wings.  That's definitely a birthday tradition for him that we started when he was 4.  He loves it.  Unfortunately, I missed it ... & I was so bummed.
Love these three.

I promised Coop that I would make his birthday up to him once I felt better, so in May (almost two months later) I did just that.
And Coop declared it "the best day ever."
That made my mama heart so happy!
First we headed to Chuck E Cheese where we had pizza for lunch ...
& then we played games.
Afterwards Coop asked for a Double Chocolate Chip frappe from Starbucks before heading home ... after all, it was his day :).
I love these two big.

That was Coop's 6th birthday.
I can't believe the sweet boy who made me a mama is 6 now!!

Happy Wednesday!
