ELEVEN YEARS!

Eleven years ago today, I married this man ...

Last year at this time, we were in HILTON HEAD ISLAND & this year, we are ~~stuck~~ safe at home. Honestly, there is no where else I'd rather be than here with my people! I mean, I won't be mad if you have us a trip planned after this quarantine though, babe. It'll be an anniversary to remember this year for sure.

This anniversary, I thought it would be fun to share 11 things about us!

So here they are ...

|ONE|

We met in 2003. Feels like a lifetime ago! I was only 14 years old & he was 16! My mom & sister were waitressing at a local BBQ restaurant & Dan was the bus boy. After he begged my mama every single day, she finally let him ask me out. We started dating October 14, 2003. 17 years ago this year!

|TWO|

Our very first kiss, I was so nervous & shaking that I accidentally bit his lip. He still hasn't let me forget it.

|THREE|

Dan transferred high schools his 11th grade year so we could go to the same school.

|FOUR|

Dan proposed in the car of the empty parking lot of Toys 'R' Us. He had originally planned to do it at Olive Garden while we were having dinner but his nerves got the best of him. I secretly LOVE how he did it his own way. It turned out so stinkin' sweet!

|EIGHT|

When we get started on a Netflix series, we binge watch it & we binge watch it hard. We will always agree to turn it off after "just one more episode" & before we know it, it's 2am.

|NINE|

We both come from blended families.

|TEN|

If one of us starts singing randomly at the top of our lungs, you better believe the other one joins right in.

|ELEVEN|

We laugh a lot but for some reason, at night, while laying in bed, we laugh the hardest & it's one of my most favorite things ever!

Dan, I love this crazy, beautiful life that we have built together & continue to do so. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us & our family next! And then the next 75+ years after that! 😉

Thank you for allowing the light of Jesus shine through you. Thank you for loving me & choosing me every single day. Thank you for loving our children. Thank you for leading our family as Christ leads the church. You have the sweetest soul & I am so honored to be your wife.

Now, let's order take out tonight & stay home.
