MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND 2020 - The Perfectly Imperfect Mama

MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND 2020

by - Thursday, May 21, 2020

Hey Hey!

Happy Thursday!

I finally took the time last night to sort through my camera roll & holy cow, there was a lot of pictures!  So I thought why not pick up around where we left off!

First of all, I hope everyone is still safe & healthy.  This quarantine is no joke, y'all!

Mother's Day was a little bit different for everyone this year as we could not go out to dinner with our sweet mamas & celebrate, however, we made the exception & grilled out at my parent's house.  No worries, we all stayed outside & even laughed on several occasions because while we sat around the bonfire, we were all spaced out as if we were practicing social distancing.

Okay, so we headed up to their house the Saturday before Mother's Day.  My mama is a family girl through and through … #Igetitfrommymama … & the fact that we could all get together even in the midst of a pandemic was extra special.
There's just no one quite like her & we are all so thankful for her!
And I pray that my babes always want to come back home to me & hang out when they get older! 😉
The weather ended up being perfect with a little chill in the air by the evening.  These two would have been just fine digging for rocks all afternoon!
Me & my tiny girl gang.
Itty Bitty & I had a wardrobe change because we finally got our "rainbow" baby photo shoot in that same day.  You can read that post HERE!
And we can't forget about my favorite guys!
This boy makes me want another baby boy so bad but then I remember just how much I throw up in the first 25 weeks of pregnancy & I immediately change my mind.  But I'll take all the nieces & nephews!
Are you wondering how we got such great pictures!??

Well ….
About that.
This is more like us & I can't even lie, I LOVE it!

On Mother's Day, since churches were not opened back up yet, we had our first ever Baby Bottle Blessings drive.  This is a fundraiser that is held at the Crisis Pregnancy ministry every year & we hand out baby bottles from Mother's Day to Father's Day.  Everyone that gets a bottle, fills it up with change, cash or check.  A bottle filled with change is apporximately $28.  While we usually deliver baby bottles to each church, due to Covid-19, we couldn't this year.  So, many people showed up & dropped off their donations all while practicing social distancing.
But what a sweet day it was serving along side this man of mine.
And also our babes!

For sure a different Mother's Day this year, but one we will always remember.
And speaking of the Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser, it is not too late to donate.  If you would like to give, no amount is too small.  My prayer is that you will ask God to search your heart & you give whatever amount you feel led to give.  Message me or email me for the link!

Can I challenge you to fill a baby bottle to help be the voice for the unborn??

  1. Such sweet photos! I hear you on the morning sickness... I had it for the entire 9 months with my second pregnancy and barely even managed to hit 20lbs of weight gain by delivery. Thankfully my other two pregnancies weren't so bad.
