COOPER'S 9TH BIRTHDAY : CHARLOTTE HORNETS

by Whitney Pegram - Thursday, April 04, 2019

Happy Thursday, friends!

Yesterday, I shared all about COOPER'S 9TH BIRTHDAY & ~~today~~ tonight I am sharing what we did instead of a birthday party this year.

A couple years ago, Coop decided that he no longer wanted a birthday party & just wanted to take a friend or two somewhere fun instead. And y'all, I have LOVED that idea! Listen, I'm all for a party, but I love the low key type of thing, too!

This year, when trying to decide what Coop wanted to do, we came up with the idea of going snow tubing BUT, the place we were going to ended up closing the weekend before his birthday because of all the rain we had!

SO, we ended up having an even better idea …

A CHARLOTTE HORNETS BASKETBALL GAME!

I mean, what is better than that for our sports obsessed boy!?!

We left the girls with Grammy & Pop & headed to the game with these two boys!

And they are seriously so much fun!

The Hornets stayed behind the entire game but with two minutes left, they came back & took home the WIN!

We had such a fun night with the birthday boy & his best buddy!

COOPER IS NINE!

by Whitney Pegram - Wednesday, April 03, 2019

On March 24th, Cooper turned nine. NINE!! We are one year away from double digits & I'm just over here wondering how the heck that happened!?!

This blog post is all about my boy today because y'all, he is just the dang coolest!

From day one, seriously, since he was minutes old, Coop has been the most laid back child ever. There were days I googled if it was normal for a baby to go days without crying. I mean, he was THAT chill! And still is.

If you ever need to know anything about sports, he is your guy. He can tell you anything & everything!

College basketball/baseball/football, NFL & NBA is his jam!

And wrestling. Law have mercy, he loves it.

The boy is HILARIOUS!!

He keeps us laughing all the time.

He still thrives off quality time & we try to squeeze it in as often as we can.

He is a math rockstar!

He took this season off from baseball & is playing golf instead. He still loves it so much!

Give him all the Under Armour. The boy is obsessed!

He is a wonderful big brother. Like, THE best!

Millie Jo & Ellie Joy, both, love him so much! And even though he talks about how much Millie Jo aggravates him, he loves them both so much, too & will protect them from anyone!

He is so much fun to hang out with & carries on a conversation like he's a tiny adult.

He loves Jesus & loves going to church!

Gosh, he just has the sweetest little heart & is always thinking about others.

He is my most favorite little guy ever!

His shirt says it all!

…

On his actual birthday this year, we had a small cookout with family & I'll share what we did instead of a party in another post!

A few months ago, he discovered that he loves the Harry Potter movies & started reading the first book. He is hooked! So, my mother-in-love surprised him with a Harry Potter birthday cake. It turned out great & was delicious!

The boy who made me a mama.

Happy 9th Birthday, my sweet Coop Coop!!

I am so thankful God blessed me with you!

BEACH WEEKEND GETAWAY

by Whitney Pegram - Monday, April 01, 2019

Happy Monday & Happy APRIL, friends!

April already!?! Where in the world did March go?!

On Friday, we loaded up the car, hooked up the camper & headed to the beach because y'all, WE NEEDED IT!! It consisted of not organizing a new house [which I have loved doing] or unpacking boxes! Just us enjoying each other!

And the weather was PERFECT!

We finally got there Friday evening right before it got dark .. & I say finally because we pretty much had to turn around three different times because we forgot something at home! HA! I mean, we would not be the Pegram's if we didn't.

We got there, set up & hung out at the campground for the night!

Saturday morning, we were up bright & early because there was no way we were sleeping our only full day away!

My girls were ready!!

Coop & Pop spent their time building sand castles …

Itty Bitty spent her time eating sand.

Seriously, the girl ate so much sand & wouldn't stop! Pretty sure she'll be pooping sand for days!

But I did get some of the sweetest little pictures of the beach babe!

And Millie Jo spent her day playing in the sand & the frrrrrrreeeeeeezing cold water. No idea how she even handled that. The girl is a fish, y'all!

Ellie Joy isn't walking yet, but she stood herself right up so I know it won't be long! And again WITH A MOUTH FULL OF SAND. I promise, we feed her! 😉

Saturday evening, we showered & headed to dinner.

Went to a few shops …

And then spent the rest of the evening doing nothing. NOTHING except sit outside laughing together & talking about life!

Dan snapped this picture & the angle isn't the least bit flattering but y'all, it's very rare that Coop climbs up on my lap so double ... triple ... chin or not, I'm posting it!
