BEACH VACATION 2019 : PART ONE
HEY HEY, friends!!
We just got back from our family beach vacation on Saturday & I have missed y'all so much! I always feel so weird on days that I don't post a blog post but today I AM BACK & sharing part one of our vacation. I have divided it up in three parts so you didn't have to spend your entire Tuesday scrolling.
This was our first week long trip camping in our camper & when I say it was so dang hot, I mean it! Goodness gracious. We had so much fun but I mean to tell you that we won't camp at the beach in July again!
The Saturday before last, we met at my parent's house & headed to the beach ...
First stop, Cracker Barrel for breakfast!
Halfway there, we stopped for a potty break & ice cream!
Ellie Joy is so used to Cooper & Millie Jo in her face 24/7 it doesn't even bother her .. or at least they don't think it does!
Before we got to the campground, we stopped for a quick lunch because we knew once we got there, it would take a little bit to get our camper set up. And these kiddos would have been HANGRY waiting on all of that!
While we were setting up, a huge thunderstorm happened. Fun fact, I LOVE a good thunderstorm, especially at the beach! We spent the rest of the afternoon setting up, grocery shopping for the week & just hanging out.
The next day started out by the pool.
And I was reminded just how much work "vacation" is with a toddler. SO much fun but busy, busy, busy! 😉
After a couple hours at the pool, I took Itty Bitty back to the camper to nap. And then that evening, we headed to dinner.
We tried a new to us seafood restaurant called Driftwoods & y'all, it was amazing! Best flounder ever!
On Monday, Dan, Coop, my brother & father-in-love went & played golf beacause #whenatthebeach ...
And while they did that, us girls, my sister-in-love & my nephew went shopping with Grammy & Pop!
For dinner, Dan grilled burgers for everyone & this picture has absolutely nothing to do with that but aren't these babies of the family so stinkin' cute!?!
Day four was an all day beach day kinda day until dinner time!
This girl ate all the sand & shells .. sigh.
If there is anyone who loves her cousins, it's Millie Jo! My niece, Emilia, loves her some Millie Jo!
And leave it up to Coop to find a dead fish.
Later that evening, we headed to dinner at our favorite pizza place!
And after eating the best pizza evvvver ...

We headed out to do a little shopping ..
Rides ...
And ice cream!

Is there anything better than cracker barrel to kick off a road trip? I think not!! Do you have a favorite beach to visit? Do you usually stay at KOA Campgrounds? When I camp with my grandparents that is where we always stopped! :)
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE us some Cracker Barrel!! Dan & I both grew up going to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina so that's where we go every year BUT there are more beautiful beaches than Myrtle. LOL! It's just tradition for us! We have never stayed at KOA but they do have one there!
