Happy Friday, y'all!

Can I just tell you that this weekend's high here in NC is in the 60s.  Eeeek!  Hello fall!

I have plans to share a summer recap with you next week but today, we are talking all about back to school!
It's been one month since Cooper & Millie Jo have been back to school.  How is it already almost October!?!

As you know, Covid has made everything whack ... including school .. ESPECIALLY school.  It was laid on mine & Dan's hearts to begin praying in early summer about pulling our babes out of public school & putting them in a Christian school.  We wanted to do what was best for our family & only going to school 2 days a week in person, wearing a mask while there, & then the other days online ... it just wasn't for us.  We aren't about that life.
So, this boy of mine started 5th grade this year at a new school ...

And this girl started 2nd grade!

How!?!
How in the world did time go by so quickly!?!

And at this school, they go Monday - Friday IN person!
It just so happens that our best friend's also decided to change schools, too!

I mean, how stinkin' cute are they!?!

This is the sweetest group of kiddos & I am so thankful that they have each other!

Dan & I are so proud of Cooper & Millie Jo.  The first day of school, they walked in together (without us .. thanks Covid) & were so brave!  I am so thankful of how well they handled such a big change in such a crazy year!  This school, in just one month, has already been such a huge blessing to us.  They LOVE it!!  The very first day, they came home & were so excited because "Mom, we prayed before the day started, at lunch time, & at the end of the day!"

We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for them!

I hope y'all have a great weekend & that it's filled with lots of cool weather!

  1. I know so many families who made a tough choice to switch schools this year so their kids could have a more consistent school experience. How wonderful that they have some familiar faces to start out the year with!
